It’s all a story about a coffee passion lover- Jason Liew. He is not only the owner of  My Liberica coffee house, but is a farmer as well. Its sound weird, doesn’t it? Let go into depth to discover what he has think about.

Jason Liew, he was studied agronomy and graduated from Taiwan. He decided back to his hometown to open a coffee house and brew his own specialty coffee, which named My Liberica. He wants to make his specialty coffee with the home-grown coffee beam. Thus, he also has his own coffee tree farm,  from plant the coffee bean until torrefaction, he manage everything by himself. For the reason that, Jason has high expectation of coffee, thus, in order to present the perfect coffee to customer, Jason will make every cup of coffee with put 100% sincerely.He love coffee, and he not only know coffee but who understand coffee. Every coffee was tasted by smell and taste before it served. He takes care of every minor part in order to brew a cup of good quality coffee to every coffee lover. This is how discipline he treats every coffee he brewed, even his customers.  He very persist change the coffee bean once per month, although the cost of the Luwak Coffee is very high.

Serves wide and modern style design with the mix and combination of art, My Liberica is a nice selection for us enjoy our teatime or stay our leisurely pace. Simple and elegance, it gives customer a very comfortable space to take a break at their cafe. Other than that, they use wooden furniture as their main theme and concept of coffee house, it present or lured customer have a feeling that on vacation.

My Liberica’s coffee never fails to let people get warm. It always brings a homely atmosphere to let people get cozy and comfy. The positive attitude of this café that I really admire is their service. Sometimes the barista will make a special coffee for you just depends on what mood are you today. Different feeling match with different type of coffee, there is really amazing about the coffee.

Arts Coffee House - CHINAHOUSE

Do you ever think about an ordinary shop house, contain coffee house, bakery, restaurant, bar, wine lounge and art theatre as well, all just under a roof. This unique business operation mode available in Penang a heritage shop house lot with only 16,000 square feet – China House.

The cafe allocated in downstairs of China House called Kopi C. Espresso. The vintage interior but not lost modern design like a splash of the new such as quinoa brings a modern twist to the traditional.

It’s different with others cafe, customer can enjoy not only the cup of nice blended coffee but come with wide variety of western homemade delicious cakes, pies, muffins and biscuits for  the crowd salivating over the sweet selection.

Besides that, one of the unique place in this cafe is all the coffee tables are covered by plain paper, this paper was not only covered the tables but customers can draw or doodle on the table by using the crayons has already prepared on the table.

That’s yet done of describe this café, it’s also a space for presenting of multiple art form. It has many pieces of art works presented to let customer enjoy the art gallery on the upstairs of China House.  Visitors can also left their autograph inside a booklet has been prepared at the art space.

In conclusion, it’s really a good place to kill leisure time. There are always has a great surprise waiting for you discover in every corner, different corner have different feeling with different story. It was hard to notice the time was passed so quickly when everyone was amusement listening to the soft relaxing music and enjoying their snack in a usual evening with a special venue.

They even encourage customers bring their own Starbucks tumbler instead of using disposable cup. In order to push this campaign, Starbucks Company will always organize related promotion to attract and encourage customers reduce using disposable cup. For instance, recently they have an event show that we can enjoy 50% discount by bring and use our own starbucks tumbler.

MODs, it’s from the word ‘modernist’ or ‘modern’, is a subculture in the early to mid 1960s. MODs originated in London, England. MODs can said that the most modern group of people during that time. MODs popularly were teenagers. They have their own hair style, fashion sense and even their own Vespa scooter. The target heart marks is MODs represented logo. The common characteristic for the MODs is they love music especially Jazz, R&B, and Hip Hop as well.

Abert is a professional drummer and his always performed with his band at night, whereby his wife Jing is a teacher and she teaching in the morning. For the reason of this they decided to switch career in order to have more time together. Hence, he invests about 200k to buy his Volkswagen van and espresso blended machine to start his business.

At first, Mods Cafe is doing moving coffee house business with a Volkswagen van , so that they can drive around everywhere. After a period, they found a very suit ‘parking lot’ for his coffee van – Malacca. Mods Cafe, a transformation from a Chinese Pharmacy.It’s a unique and vintage design coffee house, everyplace inside Mods Café was full filling 1960s MODs ambiance and very retro. Te owner puts a lot of effort in his outlet. Most of the renovated and designed inside the coffee house was done by Abert himself.

Above is some most specialty coffee bean in Mods Cafe, although it look like same, but look it in details, they are much different which include their taste, shape and personality of itself. In Mods Cafe, almost like all the coffee is done it on the spot including grind the coffee bean.
